Michael Miller, married to Janice
Gibbles Miller, who grew up on Walnut Street in Monongah, for 33 years, passed
away Saturday, May 6 in a Pittsburgh hospital. He lived in Shinnston.

He sang in the choir and assisted at
Mass at Monongah’s Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where his funeral Mass will
take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20.
Denise Wood Williams Roncone, Class of 1976, is his
stepdaughter. She is married to Michael Roncone.
Denise's parents were Rosalie Hestick Wood and Daniel Wood. Her brother, Kevin Wood, Class of 1978, lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Michael Andrew Miller, 70 of Shinnston, WV
entered into Everlasting Life at the V.A. Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. on May 6,
2017. Truly an astonishing Warrior; hospitalized for 3 1/2 months, courageously
fighting his ending battle. Mike was born January 1, 1947 in Morgantown, WV son
of the late Gilbert Andrew Miller Sr. & Jane Elizabeth Bruno Miller.
Sharing a marriage of unending love with
Janice Gibbles Miller for 33 years. His great love for his family, relatives,
and friends was amazing and unconditional, he possessed a heart of gold.
In 1966 he enlisted in the U.S.M.C. and
served two tours in the the Vietnam War, as 3rd• Marine Recon attached to
Marine Fighter Squadron 323 and was discharged as CPL E.4 He walked a P.O.W.
& MIA walk from Grafton to Ohio. He was a practicing & devout Roman
Catholic convert at Holy Spirit Church where he sang in the choir and assisted
at Mass.
A truly remarkable Master of all Trades that
where all put to use with training and certifications. Mike was an Industrial
Electrician, worked in several coal mines, & industrial plants, a certified
machine operator, analyst, and sales man in & out of state. An avid hunter
& fisherman who enjoyed nature & the solitude & bliss God Created.
He was a member of the Shinnston VFW & American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Janice A. Miller;
two daughters Kimberly Suan & husband Jerry of Wallace, WV., Shelia
Catteral & companion David Gubanez of Massilon, OH.; step-children Kevin
Wood & wife Karen of Mechanicsburg, PA., Denise Roncone & husband
Michael of Monongah, WV., Janine Watson & husband Jeffery of Shinnston; a
sister Carol Peters & husband Dennis of Valley Falls; brothers Bruce Miller
& wife Sherry of Rowelsburg, WV, Brady Miller of Harrisonburg, VA., Gilbert
Miller Jr. of Flemington, WV.; 14 grandchildren, S step- grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren & 5 step-great grandchildren; & many nieces &
nephews. Mike was a sincere friend of Bill W., and had many close, wonderful
friends in the fellowship.
In addition to his parentshe was preceded in
death by a son Michael David Miller, & a grandson Michael Lee
"Tater" Suan.
The Family will receive friends at the Holy
Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah on Saturday May 20 from 10 until 11 am. The
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am with Father S.A. Arokiadass as
celebrant. Immediately follow the service full Military Honors will be
conducted at Mt. Calvary Cemetery by the Marion Co. Honor Guard. Arrangements
