Familiar path in this family

Adam Morris, grandson of Jackie Olesky Straight, Class of 1955, who lives in Rivesville, is following in familiar footsteps.

Adam graduated with high honors May 12 from West Virginia University with a BS degree in Strategic Communications/Journalism.  Jackie also has a WVU Journalism degree. So does his uncle, John Olesky, Class of 1950.

Jackie reports that Adams “has an offer from a college in the United Kingdom to continue his studies to earn a Master’s degree in Journalism.  He is 99% sure that he is going to accept the offer.  It is expensive so he is going to work this summer and also apply for a loan for this wonderful chance to learn and experience life in another country. 

“I will try to help him obtain his dream.  I'm very proud of him, as I'm sure you are of your grandchildren, and that maybe our genes for Journalism brought this about.  He is proud that his Uncle John and his grandmother both held degrees in Journalism.

Belinda's sister, Susan Renee Straight, is a pharmacist at WVU's Ruby Memorial Hospital after graduating from WVU.
