Tammy Haught Vandergrift
Tammy Haught Vandergrift, Class of
1977, after working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as an accountant
for 27 years before her retirement two years ago, has returned part-time to KTC.
Tammy (actually, Tama Haught at Monongah
High) explains:
“I've
lived in Frankfort, Kentucky for the last 30 years, I worked for Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet as an accountant for 27 years. I retired 2 years ago and
I'm now back at Transportation part-time.
“I'm
divorced. I have one son, Christopher Vandergrift, who graduated as an
electrical engineer from the University of Kentucky and one grandson, Isaac Maxwell
Vandergrift, who will soon be 3.
“I'm an
exercise fanatic and love to play at golf. I'm not sure there's much else to
tell about myself.
"Thank u again for asking about my life since Monongah High.“I'm looking forward to the Alumni Reunion this year."
Tammy’s Class of 1977 will be one of the honor classes for its 40-year reunion. Tammy reports that “there are 10-12 classmates from our class attending. Please PM me for information on tickets to go. Class pictures are at 5:30. Can't wait to see everyone.”
Tammy
also has been known to show up at the Belterra
Casino Resort. Another fun activity.
Son Chris is a senior engineer at Schneider
Electric after working for the Kentucky Transportation Center, Ashland Oil and
Toyota.
Tammy’s
brother was the late Gary Allen Haught. Their parents are Nellie Fortney
Haught, who shared a Traction Avenue home in Monongah with Gary, and the late Jennings
Haught. Gary was the guy who ran Gary’s Pro Painting.
