Connie recuperating after leg surgery

Connie Jean Martin Abruzzino, Class of 1962, who was involved in a ton of activities at Monongah High, is recuperating after cancer surgery on her leg.

Connie lived in Carolina during her MHS days but is a Fairmont resident these days.

Both her husband, Danny Abruzziono, and son, Robbie Abruzziono, passed away in the same year.

Their daughter, Debby Abruzziono Coleman, lives in Naples, Florida with husband Dan Abruzzino. See, even the ones they marry are named Danny, as was Robbie.

Professional photographer Joe Martin, Class of 1959, is Connie's brother. Joe lives in Pinellas Park, Florida after decades on Treasure Island, Florida with his artist wife, Arlene Kitchin Martin, born in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Connie went from Clarksburg School of Cosmetology to Hair Perfection By Connie owner/operator, which no longer exists.

At Monongah High Connie was a cheerleader, in the National Honor Society, in the senior play cast, class tournaments referee, in the fashion show, Junior Red Cross, Y-Teens and Glee Club. She didn’t let any grass grow under her feet at MHS.
