Shinnston Road Rage Leads to Fights, Car Chase
by Tyler Hawn , WDTV-Channel 5, Clarksburg
A typical Saturday night turned
violent in Shinnston, after troopers said an apparent road rage incident turned
into a fight, and eventually led authorities on a high speed chase.
Troopers said this all started on
South Pike Street in Shinnston.
Apparently, there was some kind of road rage
incident, which led to several fights. During the fights,
one man involved was apparently dragged nearly 30 feet by another car, but it
doesn't stop there.
After that, the person who allegedly
was involved with dragging the other man fled the scene, and led Harrison County deputies on a high speed
chase. Deputies caught up with him off Route 50 near Wilsonburg.
Officials said one of the victims
involved in the fight did go to the hospital for treatment, but the man who allegedly was dragged by the car
refused treatment.
Troopers said the investigation is
ongoing, and charges are pending.
