Monongah High Alumni Association president Linda Lopez Gandy, Class of 1965, and husband Jim Gandy, Class of 1964, on the MHS Alumni board, both Class of 1964, celebrated their 47^th wedding anniversary Monday, Aug. 24.

They celebrated with a dinner at the Aquarium Lounge on Gaston Avenue in Fairmont.

Writes Linda: “A BIG thank you to everyone who wished us, happy anniversary. Just 3 years till the big one. Unbelievable how time flies.”

Jim was born on the same day in 1946 the politician getting the most press nowadays.

Linda writes:

“Jim Gandy born June 14, 1946.
“Donald Trump born June 14, 1946.
“What do you think about THAT?
“Maybe they were twins and got separated lol. “Jim has prettier hair.”

Jim quips:

“The difference between Donald Trump and myself is he is rich and I'm poor and we share different political beliefs.”

Linda is a beautician at May’s Beauty Shop and a Leeds Candy Store sales clerk. She studied for the beautician job at Morgantown Beauty College.  Linda and Jim live in Monongah.
