MHS grad Patricia Tetrick Judy passes away

Worthington native Patricia Ann Tetrick Judy, Class of 1937, passed away Thursday, July 30.

Patricia Ann Judy January 27, 1921 - July 30, 2015

Patricia Ann Judy, 94, died on Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was the daughter of Gladys and Paul Tetrick.

Born on January 27, 1921 at Fairmont Hospital, she grew up in Worthington and was married to Charles Robert Judy, Sr. of Fairmont.

Mrs. Judy is survived by her only child, Charles Robert Judy, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Hampstead, NC; her brother, Robert Tetrick of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Todd Robert Judy of San Francisco, CA and Melissa Ann Judy Anglin and her husband Jeremiah of Hampstead, NC; a great granddaughter, Bethany Aiu and her nephew, Rocky Tetrick and his wife Fay of Bingamon Community.

Patty was educated at Fairmont State Teachers College and later became a teacher at Watson Elementary until she retired. Prior to teaching, she was a homemaker and did volunteer work for the Junior League and hospital.

The family would like to thank Mary Perkins, Patty's longtime friend, for her compassion, dedication and friendship, for taking care of Patty during her hospice care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, WV 26554. A graveside service will be held at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 4 p.m.
