Vermont beer #1 in West Virginia
The most popular beer in West
Virginia is Magic Hat #9, which advertises itself as “a not quite pale ale,” according
to a poll of 6,000 bars and restaurants in America. It’s available at 50% of
the state’s restaurants. The brewery is in South Burlington, Vermont.
Not surprisingly, Coors Light is No.
1 in Colorado, but only 37% of the restaurants have it on their menu. I’ve been
to the Coors brewery and got 6 cups of 6 different brands of Coors. It was
tough not to stagger out the exit.
Yuengling Lager is No. 1 in Ohio and
Pennsylvania, Miller Lite among the puffs of Virginia and Bell’s Oberon in Kentucky
(for those not drinking bourbon).
