Laurann Vance Allen, Class of 1971, is retired from WVU Children's Hospital. Laurann and husband Garry lives in Enterprise and have raised 3 children and adopted 2 of their grandchildren. Harlea is 18 and Cole, a trombonist, is 12. Harlea just graduated and will be attending WV Junior College in August. Son Garry, named after his daddy, is married. Nicole Knox Vance is her sister from Catawba who lives in Fairmont.   Requests Laurann: “Let me know how everyone else is doing from the class of 1971!”

Just fine, Laurann, although they are a rambuncious bunch.

Thanks to Jay Holman, born Oct. 11, the Class of 1971 is the most faithful at attending Monongah High Alumni Reunions and probably the most rowdy bunch, too.

 

Heck, any graduation class that has Susan Ahouse Schrader, who birthday is July 3, and Doris Carpenter Rogers, who birthday is March 5, is doomed to be rowdy. These folks know how to have fun. Doris lives in Charleston with husband Scott Rogers.

Ed Graffius, whose birthday is May 27, is from Monongah but lives in Fairmont and zooms off to Indianpolis to watch the Indianapolis 500 auto race.

 

He lives in Pleasant Valley with wife Brenda Ridenour Graffius, Class of 1974, a Licensed Practical Nurse who is accustomed to the Class of 1971’s shenanigans.

 

Ed has been a receiving manager at Wal-Mart since 1991.

Parma Kay Fetty, who birthday is June 1, is hell on wheels when it comes to fishing and boating.
