Greg Patrick, Class of 1970, just wrapped up his 40th year as a
teacher. He’s at Fairmont Catholic High School (once St. Peter’s) nowadays.
When Greg isn’t instructing the new
generation, he’s belting out music with The Jenna Won’t Sing Band. Jim Pulice,
Class of 1969, retired Monongah Middle School principal and son of Jim Pulice, Class
of 1948; son Eric Pulice; Bob Bonasso and Ron Yanero are the other band
members. So that’s two educators rocking Fairmont with music.
Friday
the Jenna Band will be at Wave Tek for the Relay for Life at the upper pavilion
of the City View Terrace place. On Saturday they will be at the Pallatine Park
Pavillion on Everest Drive in East Fairmont for the Summer Events Series.
They
are usually the headline performers at the Monongahfest, which will be Aug. 15
this year. The first was in 1988, so this will be the 28th annual
event. Looks like it’s here to stay.
