Fire destroys White Hall home

Monongah Town Recorder Patty Steele McCombs reports:

“Monongah had a structure fire Thursday at Valleyview Drive” in White Hall. Valleyview is off Manuel (Routes 58 & 2), which is west of I-79.

The home was declared a total loss by the Monongah Fire Department. Shawn Parker was among the Monongah firefighters who answered the call.

Home owner Ronnie Jones' son, who was in the basement, got out safely. He suggested a propane tank on the back porch may have started the blaze. 

Winfield, Bunner Ridge, Worthington, Barrackville and Shinnston fire departments also responded to the call.
