24 Monongah High yearbooks among 41 free online albums with
MHS alumni in them.
Check them out.
The 1961 Monongah High Black Diamond
yearbook is the 24th yearbook I have converted from print to online
album that anyone can see, without charge, on the Internet.
To see the 1961 yearbook, click on
I find that the best viewing is, once you get to a yearbook, to click on "Slide Show." That puts each page on there for 4 or 5 seconds and with much larger pages. But you can just call up one page at a time if you want to peruse longer.
I put online albums from 1939 through 1961 and 1964. I have promises of yearbooks through 1979 (the final graduation class) when I’m ready for them. I’m converting them one at a time because it takes up to 4 weeks to convert one yearbook from the printed version to the online album.

There are FORTY ONE online albums with Monongah
High alumni in them because I also have posted online albums of Monongah High
alumni reunions in Sarasota, at the Three Ways Inn in Fairmont, at Punta Gorda,
Florida, in Michigan. And many other occasions.
If you or your former classmates are not in one of
these 41 online albums, it’s not because I’m not trying.
My goal is to have EVERY Monongah High yearbook
ever published as free online albums for alumni’s great-grandchildren to see
some day. So far I’ve spent a decade stacking them up. I’m 82, but I hope to
complete the project, at least the 1939 through 1979 yearbooks, before I take
the Final Dirtnap.
This is gift to my fellow Monongah High alumni.
With my 43 years of newspaper experience, it qualifies me uniquely to do this.
