His sister is Sally Wood Tarley, Class of 1959, who lives in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Sally graduated from Fairmont State, then got her masters at WVU before she began her illustrious teaching career and retired as a Fairmont State professor (1974-2002). She married Marko Tarley.

The Wood family is sprinkled among Monongah High graduates, from 1940 through 1978, the year before Monongah High ceased to exist.

There also are a lot of members of the Woods (with an "s") family who graduated from Monongah High. I won’t get into that because it will confuse both you and me.
