Frank Tiano’s widow passes away at 95

Beulah Louise Tiano, widow of Frank Tiano, one of 11 children born in Chiefton to Anthony and Rose Iaquinto Tiano, passed away Thursday, July 11.

Beulah and Frank were together for 71 years.

Frank’s siblings -- Pete, John, Sammy Tiano, Katy Cavrich, Mary Bilotta, Rosetta Simcic, Julie Barile, Louise DeBlasio, Frances Miller and Benny Tiano – also are deceased.

Beulah’s obituary:

Beulah Louise Tiano, 95, of Fairmont passed away Thursday morning July 11, 2019 at Fairmont Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on May 7, 1924 in Tunnelton, daughter of the late William and Mary Sylvia Riley.

She retired from Westinghouse after 40 years of service in quality control. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Bea was an avid sports fan and enjoyed WVU football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed watching the games with family.

Beulah grew up on a farm in Preston County and moved to Fairmont at the age of 18.

Beulah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a favorite aunt to many. She loved to cook holiday dinners for her family and friends. Beulah and her husband, Frank, dated for two years prior to being married for a lovely 69 years. Her and Frank were inseparable. After her husband became ill, Beulah continued to care for her husband at home.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Secure and two grandchildren Jennifer and Anthony Secure, all of Fairmont. She is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law Mary and Robert Williams of Tunnelton and also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Frank Tiano on December 5, 2016; two sisters Ardella Campbell of Akron, Ohio; and Tommie Walker of Bellflower, California and one brother Bob Wiles of Ohio. She is also preceded in death by her brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law from the Tiano family, which she adored especially uncle Pete Tiano and Tony Tiano (Popie).

The family would like to thank Sr. Stella Cronauer of Immaculate Conception Church for all her care, support and guidance and also Dr. Katragadda and staff for all the care given to Beulah.

Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont today from 4-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Fr. Jojan Joseph, CST officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
