Thea Beth Madden Pierce, Class of 1972,
passed away Wednesday, March 13.
She was a Monongah resident.

Thea Beth Pierce, 64, of Monongah,
passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation
Center following a long illness. She was born in Fairmont on May 2, 1954, a
daughter of the late Richard Madden and Lillian Irene (Riggs) Madden.
Thea graduated from Monongah High School in 1972. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked as a housekeeper, enjoyed being outside, family get togethers. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her children her daughters, Earlene Lovern Pyles, of Fairmont, and Megan Madden, of Carolina; her son, Joshua Pierce, of Fairmont; six very special grandchildren: Joseph, Kenna, Shyla, Trevelyn, Cali and Abby; and a close friend, Danette Shorter, of Wisconsin.
In addition to her parents, Thea was preceded in death by her brother, George Madden, and her sister, Marlene Stone.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body has been donated to the West Virginia University Human Gift Registry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
