Prayers, please, for Brenda Urban

Brenda Urban, Class of 1971, could use your prayers.

Brenda Urban

“I normally don't do this, but if I could have good vibes and prayers sent my way and to my family, we would appreciate it very much. Just found out my mom, Brenda Urban, has colon cancer.”

Brenda is a Fairmont State graduate who lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Brenda is Stanley Urban, Jr.’s daughter and the granddaughter of Stanley Urban, Sr., long-ago proprietor of Urban’s Grocery south of the UMW Hall.

Brenda's brothers are Greg Urban, Class of 1966, who lives in North Carolina, and the late Mark Urban, Class of 1969, who lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Brenda’s grandfather and Andrew Urban were brothers. Andrew is the father of Patty Urban Utz, Class of 1950, and the son of Peter Urban, who was one of five who survived the 1907 Monongah mines explosion.

Orazio DePetris and son Angelo and Donato D’Amico and son Leonardo were the other 1907 survivors.

Brenda once was married to Jimmy Clay Fullen, Class of 1972, who lives in Indiana.

Ramona Fullen Michalski, Class of 1949, who lives in Monongah and is the widow of Frank Michalski, who began with the Class of 1948, is Jimmy’s cousin.
