Kenneth Frederick Clevenger, father
of Kenneth Richard “Dick” Clevenger, Class of 1967, and William “Bill”
Clevenger, Class of 1966, passed away Tuesday, August 2.
The father was a 1947 Barrackville
High grad but he was born in Carolina to Dewey Clevenger and Goldie Beaver
Clevenger.

Kenneth
Frederick Clevenger, 88, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at
the WV Veteran's Nursing Facility in Clarksburg. He was born February 27, 1928
in Carolina, WV, son of the late Dewey and Goldie (Beaver) Clevenger.
Kenneth
was a member of the Katy Baptist Church and a graduate of Fairview High School.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, the Army Reserves, and the Marion County
Police Reserves. His employment included Clevenger Photo Service, North
American Phillips, and Meadow Gold Dairy.
He is
survived by two sons, William “Bill” Clevenger and wife Jenny of Fairmont,
Kenneth Richard “Dick” Clevenger and wife Kathy of Weston; grandchildren, Mark
Clevenger and wife Michelle, Aaron Clevenger and wife Debbie, Kyle Clevenger,
Kelly Wagoner and husband Dustin, Bud Price, Marjorie Strawser and husband
Nick; great grandchildren, C.J. and Tessa Marie Clevenger, Jacob and Cody
Clevenger, Sadie Belle Price, Lakin Price, and Sophia Strawser; nieces and
nephews, Brenda Tuttle and husband Bill, David Cummins and Wife Carolyn, Lynn
and Gary Clevenger, Susan Faieta, Dana Clevenger, Beverly Goodman; and a
sister-in-law, Helen Cummings of Grant Town.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ardella June
(Parrish) Clevenger; three brothers, Harold Clevenger, Bernard Clevenger, and
Dewey Clevenger, Jr.
The
family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont
from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (August 3, 2016) and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday (August
4, 2016). The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4,
2016 in the funeral home with Pastor Marvin Stalnaker officiating. Interment
will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens with full military rights being
performed at graveside by the Marion County Veteran’s Council. Online
