Jenna’s New Year’s Eve performance

Jenna Won’t Sing, Monongah's No. 1 band, will perform at the Fairmont Field Club’s New Year’s Eve dinner dance, which starts at 5:30 p.m. The band includes Greg Patrick, Jim Pulice, son Eric Pulice, and Ron Yanero, who is in Pierpoint nursing facility on Country Club Road after his stay at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Champagne will be served at midnight and a prime rib dinner with heavy hors d'oeuvres at 7 p.m., cocktails at 6.

It is open to the public as long as you fork over $65 for singles and $115 for couples.

The Field Club Office is taking reservations at  (304-366-2321) till Monday, December 21.

I remember the fancy parties when I was a caddy at Fairmont Field Club about 70 years ago. Once we swiped a few bottles of wine, hid them under ground, then recovered the loot and drank the wine the next day after the sun heated it up. We didn’t steal the wine again.

Jenna Won't Sing, the No. 1 band out of Monongah, will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 11 at its favorite haunt, the Firehouse Café.

Jenna = Firehouse Café -- Jan. 31 this time

Jenna Wont Sing band will do an unplugged night – acoustics with surround sound -- at The Firehouse Cafe on Saturday, Jan 31 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Mark and Monica will host again.

2 cancer benefits by Jenna band

The Jenna Won’t Sing Band, which is Monongah’s Greg Patrick and his accomplices, will be doing the first of its two benefit shows for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Firehouse Café, 323 Adams Street, Fairmont, owned and operated by Fairmont firefighter Mark Delbrook.

The photo is of the tye-dye shirt donated by Jenn Wells, owner of the Black Dog, to be raffled off during the show.

The Jenna band will do another cancer benefit show 7-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the Fairmont Field Club (dinner will begin at 5).

Both establishments will donate 10% of their dinner sales each evening to breast cancer research.

Jenna is fresh from its Thursday performance at Fairmont West High School, where former Valley FOGG member (a 1960s incarnation that preceded Jenna’s birth) Bob Bonasso stepped in at the last minute to sub for one of absent band members.

And I'm happy to report that the band's equipment that went "missing" after its Monongahfest performance has been returned to its rightful owners.

Jenna Band at Firehouse Café Sept. 20

The Jenna Won’t Sing Band, still looking for its stolen equipment, has rescheduled its Unplugged Show – acoustics with surround sound -- at the Firehouse Café for Sept. 20. That’s 323 Adams Street in a building the city hasn’t purchased to gut and renovate.

Since it’s leader Greg Patrick’s birthday, they’ll call it the Eligible for Social Security Show.

Two years ago this month The Firehouse Cafe moved – from 323½ Adams Street to next door at 323 Adams Street. The Café was at 323½ for six months before making the not-crosscountry jaunt to 323.

As for the scum that took their equipment after the Monongahfest fireworks ended, may every mirror you look into crack and may you wake up in the morning with throw-up in your mouth!

“Thursday and no word on our now officially " stolen " equipment from Saturday by the tent at Monongahfest. It had to happen between 11:30 pm Saturday and 8:30 am on Sunday when Greg returned for the car show. If you saw anyone in the area of the tent overnight or have any info or have the equipment bag, contact Greg or better yet bring to fire dept. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!! Thank you!”

It’s time for the bad seed to sprout a conscience and return the stolen property to the good guys whose sounds are music to Monongah’s ears.
