Yankie, a 2002 North Marion grad, passed away Wednesday, February 4.

was the widow of David Yankie.
Mary’s
other 9 children are Chris Toothman, David Yankie, Sylvia Barr,
Franklin Hammond, 1984 North Marion
graduate Terry Yankie, 1987 North Marion graduate Barbie Yankie and 1989 North
Marion graduate Kim Yankie Hawkins and Mary was predeceased by sons Kenneth and
Ronnie Yankie.

Mary Yankie, 84, of Monongah, passed away
on Wednesday, February 4, 2020, at her residence.
She was born November 12, 1935, in Hundred
(Wetzel County), a daughter of the late Sherman and Katherine “Katy” Utt Myers.
Mary formerly was employed for the Marion
County Board of Education as a cook. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and loved
her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her 8 children: Chris
(Bobby) Toothman, David (Linda) Yankie, Sylvia (Charles) Barr, Franklin (Kathy)
Hammond, Michelle Yankie, Terry (Holly) Yankie, Barbie (Katy Bolyard) Yankie,
and Kim (Sam Murray) Hawkins; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great
great grandchildren; and a sister: Bernadeen Himelrick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: David Yankie; 2 sons: Kenneth and Ronnie Yankie; siblings: Clarence, John, Bernice, and Charlie Myers, and Annie Metz.
Friends may call at the Hutson funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Edin officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont. www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com
