ESPN did a fantastic job in a short
video of capsulizing Nick Saban’s life and mindset.
Nick Saban |
Brother, as everyone in Marion County
calls him, had Nick, Sr. as a role model. His father demanded excellence and
commanded respect.
Brother’s dad coached the Idamay
Black Diamonds baseball team, made brother wash cars at his father’s service
station.
Brother quarterbacked Monongah High
to the 1968 state high school title in West Virginia, with the late Kerry
Marbury as his running back. When Kerry got sick, Brother was the first one to
call and help, Kerry said.
Brother has never forgotten the
lessons taught by his father. It propelled Brother to six national college
football championships, one at LSU and five at Alabama.
