Prudence Tetrick Funk, Class of 1960, and husband Jim Funk escaped Hurricane Matthew with “the only damage was limbs falling and a shutter blew off a living room window. Our house is so solid you couldn't hear the storm outside.”

Prudy and Jim live in Longwood, Florida, 15 miles north of Orlando. They moved from Denver, Pennsylvania to the Hurricane State. And own Prudy’s grandmother’s house in Worthington.Prudy's mother, Ruth Paxton Tetrick, is Class of 1939.

Prudy also has survived surgery on her heart. She and Jim have been married 52 years. Stacy Funk Jackson is their daughter. 

Prudy’s cousin, Lois Carol Harbert Moore, Class of 1962, is married to Dr. Jerry Moore, Class of 1960. Lois’ sister and Prudy’s cousin is Sandy Harbert Saunders, Class of 1965.
