Class of 1975 was special, both during their Monongah High days and as adults.

Jay Feltz quarterbacked the last of 5 Monongah High state championship football teams in 1973. His father, Coach Jim Feltz, was responsible for the 1952 and 1955 titles. After 1968 (Nick Saban quarterback) and 1969 (Kerry Marbury running back) state crowns, Jay made it a fine five finishes.

Greg Vandetta is Monongah’s mayor, and a darn good one, too.

Jerry Koloskie was a major force in the athletic departments at the University of Las Vegas during basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian’s remarkable run and is currently at the University of Albany in New York, which is racking up some great athletic memories, too.

Mike Hess has had an interesting life with Parma Fetty.

At the Class of 1975’s 10-year reunion in 1985 there was Jane “Nene” Pritchard  Moore, an LPN at Pediatrics Associates; and Monongah Mayor Greg married to Debra Manzo Vandetta, Class of 1973, Monongahfest president.

Sherry Diana McIntire, Class of 1975, daughter of the late Roberta Jean Martin McIntire, has beaten cancer and is in remission. She spent a dozen years at Aegis Communications Group and lives in Bingamon after growing up in Worthington.

Eva Jarvis, who grew up in Everson, lives in Grant Town.

Denise Wood Roncone sang the MHS Alma Mater at a Monongah High Alumni Reunion in Fairmont. Denise’s daughter, Danielle Williams, is leading a campaign to save the Blumberg Building (the former drug store) in Monongah.

Debra Rutherford Basnett is married to Michael Basnett and lives in Worthington.
