CATCHING UP WITH

Tammy Haught Vandergrift

Tammy Haught Vandergrift, Class of 1977, after working for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as an accountant for 27 years before her retirement two years ago, has returned part-time to KTC.

Tammy (actually, Tama Haught at Monongah High) explains:

“I've lived in Frankfort, Kentucky for the last 30 years, I worked for Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as an accountant for 27 years. I retired 2 years ago and I'm now back at Transportation part-time.

“I'm divorced. I have one son, Christopher Vandergrift, who graduated as an electrical engineer from the University of Kentucky and one grandson, Isaac Maxwell Vandergrift, who will soon be 3.

“I'm an exercise fanatic and love to play at golf. I'm not sure there's much else to tell about myself.
"Thank u again for asking about my life since Monongah High.

“I'm looking forward to the Alumni Reunion this year."

Tammy’s Class of 1977 will be one of the honor classes for its 40-year reunion. Tammy reports that “there are 10-12 classmates from our class attending. Please PM me for information on tickets to go. Class pictures are at 5:30. Can't wait to see everyone.”

Tammy also has been known to show up at the Belterra Casino Resort. Another fun activity.

Son Chris is a senior engineer at Schneider Electric after working for the Kentucky Transportation Center, Ashland Oil and Toyota.

Tammy’s brother was the late Gary Allen Haught. Their parents are Nellie Fortney Haught, who shared a Traction Avenue home in Monongah with Gary, and the late Jennings Haught. Gary was the guy who ran Gary’s Pro Painting.
