Father Dass

Bishop Bransfield has named a pastor for St. Anthony and Holy Spirit parishes. He is Father  Soosai Arpudam Aarokiadass -- or Father Dass. He is pastor of St. Peter parish in Welch.

Father Dass will take over duties June 18 at St. Anthony on Mary Lou Retton Drive in Fairmont and Holy Spirit church in Monongah.

Once, St. Stanislaus and Our Lady of Pompeii had separat priests who spoke Polish (St. Stanislaus) or Italian (Our Lady of Pompeii) till the bishop named an Irish priest, Father John McNulty, for both churches.

Both St. Stanislaus and Our Lady of Pompeii churches are gone – by fire and by demolition.
