St. Barbara’s worker passes away

Indiana native Ramona Jean Rogers Smith, who once worked at St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah, passed away Monday, June 4.

Ramona’s obituary:

Ramona Jean Rogers Smith, 70, of Fairmont passed away on Monday June 4, 2018 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. 

She was born on September 9, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana daughter of the late Herbert Strange and Emma Rogers. 

Ramona worked as an CNA and formerly worked at The Arbors and St. Barbara's Memorial Nursing Home. 

Ramona is survived by her two daughters Heretta Newbrough of Fairmont and Bobbe Smith of Walkersville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jesse Ray Johnson, Nicole Newbrough, Amber Newbrough, Michael, Mikey, and Zachery Johnson and four great grandchildren Aaron Covington, Amar Junius, Kianna Howard and Trenton Marcum. 

In keeping with Ramona's wishes she will be cremated. 

Arrangements are under the care of Ross Funeral Home Fairmont.
