‘Brother’ visits White House with 6th
national champs
Alabama football coach Nick “Brother” Saban
and the national champ Tide football team visited the White House on Tuesday.
Before remarks on the South Lawn, President
Trump escorted Brother, Alabama University president Stuart Bell and Tide athletic
director Greg Byrne into the Oval Office.
It was Brother’s sixth visit to the White
House after coaching national champions, one at LSU and five at Alabama.
The President attended the title game
against Georgia, but left at halftime with Georgia ahead, 13-0. So he missed
the Alabama comeback for a 26-23 overtime victory behind backup quarterback Tua
Tagovailoa.
Brother inserted Tagovailoa in the second
half, replacing starter Jalen Hurts.
