Cleve was on the 1955 Monongah High football team that won the state championship. The Lions did the same thing in 1952, 1968, 1969 and 1973 and, in baseball, in 1955.

Cleve lived in Fairlawn, an Akron, Ohio suburb, and Middleburg Heights before moving to Leesburg.

Cleve plans to attend the West Virginia Day Picnic in The Villages, Florida on Sunday, March 1. So do Pat Meredith Wills, John Matkovich and Dolores Sweede Matkovich and John Olesky and Paula Tucker.
