Sanford Carr is a battler

Sanford Carr is returning home after hospitalization for his seventh heart attack.

Wife Linda Knobel-Carr, Class of 1967, writes:

“Thank God my husband is coming home today. He had another heart attack Saturday. Prayers, please for a speedy recovery. Thanks All!!”

Linda and Sanford have been married for almost a half-century.

Sanford is one of Monongah’s many good guys. The former Monongah councilman volunteers his time to improve property in the town.

Linda worked at Philips (1968-89) and is a whiz at baking chocolate cake, particularly while listening to country music.

Sanford and Linda’s daughter, Tonia Carr Posten, North Marion Class of 1989, is married to Bill Posten, a Monongah guy who also is a North Marion grad.

The late Loraine Gorey Phillips Knobel was Linda’s stepmother.
