Jan Hoffman of the Class of 1967 is attempting to contact eight classmates, probably for the 2017 Monongah High Alumni Reunion, which will be the 50^th anniversary for that class.

Jan wants current information about Howard Armstead, James Paul Cain, Diane Chucci, Margaret Haynes, Larry Hines, Mike Jones, Michael McDonald and Mike Sypult.

My 43 years of newspaper experience and five hours of detective work led me to this information:

Larry Hines has a Facebook page and lives in Fairmont with (304) 366-0485 as his phone number, which also is listed for 208 Fitzgerald Avenue, Fairmont under the name of Carolyn V. Hines.

The North Marion High Alumni directory in 1973 listed Howard Armstead at 2918 Lonsdale Drive, Dothan, Alabama and his phone number as (205) 794-4550. That phone number today is listed for Birmingham, Alabama.

Three other Chucci family members are Monongah High alumni: Bonnie Chucci Premo, Class of 1965; Fred Chucci, Class of 1968, who moved to Utah; and John Chucci, Class of 1970, who moved to Marietta, Georgia.

Janice Hoffman lives in Salem, Virginia. The Fairmont State graduate retired from Roanoke County Schools’ Glenvar High.

Bob Mick, Class of 1962, said that his brother, Richard Mick, Class of 1967, "won't be at the reunion."
