Dewey Tarley needs prayers

March 29 update on Dewey from his sister, Phillis:

Took the tube out he's awake, alert and responding. Left side still not moving. Transferring him to a stepdown unit. Still not out of the woods completely due to his liver. Please continue your prayers for they are very powerful and works miracles.

Dewey Tarley can use your prayers.

The Worthington firefighter's sister, Phillis Tarley, assistant campus director of admissions at Ross Medical Education Center in Morgantown, reports:

Dewey Tarley

"Dewey is slowly waking up and responding to us when we ask him to open his eyes, which he does. He also tried to put his arm down when we lift it. The doctors say the more we talk to him the easier he will wake up. Has a lot of fluid but started him on Lasik. Very very hopeful at this point."

She warns: "He has a long road ahead of him."

Lasik helps remove fluid from your body so that it doesn't build up beyond normal.

Phillis, a 1982 North Marion grad, lives in Kingmont but is from Idamay.

Spencer Tarley also is a Worthington firefighter.

Worthington fire chief Chris McIntire's wife is a Monongah Elementary teacher.

Annie Tarley Delovich is Class of 1952.
Sally Wood Tarley is Class of 1959.
Carlo Tarley is Class of 1965.
Joanna Tarley is Class of 1978.
Mark Tarley is a 1985 North Marion grad.

If you have memories of the Tarley family, email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com  and I'll relay the information.

Thank you.
