Jayce Riley is halfway through his 3,785-mile bicyle Bike the U.S. for MS ride. He’s at Ness City, Kansas.

The goal is to raise funds for multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment and research.

Jayce’s mother, Jamie Feltz Riley, battled MS for 13 years before passing away when Riley was a senior at Fairmont West.

Riley’s cousin has participated in Bike the U.S. for MS.

Jamie’s parents and Jayce’s grandparents are Betty Lynn Wilson Feltz, Class of 1954, and the late Monongah High state championship (in 1952 and 1955) football coach Jim Feltz.

Jamie’s siblings were 1973 MHS state champ quarterback Jay Feltz, also named state Amateur of the Year, and Jon Pat Feltz, superior math teacher at Monongah Middle School for decades.

Jayce was on the Fairmont West team that competed in the state baseball tournament.

Andrew Sestito of Fairmont is Jayce’s brother.

Bill Wilson, Class of 1955, who lives in Montgomery, Texas, a Houston suburb, is Betty Lynn’s brother.

More than 400,000 people in the United States have MS, which affects the central nervous system and disrupts information from the brain to the body.
