John Prunty, Class of 1949,  is observing his 85^th birthday today. It must be his latest great-granddaughter, Josie, that keeps him so young.

John’s daughter is Debbie Prunty Poluck, Class of 1973, married to coal miner Louis Poluck, also Class of 1973, and living in Idamay.

Debbie wrote:

“Happy 85th Birthday, Dad!!! So blessed to have you in my life. I love you!!!”

Tammy Shumate Poluck, Class of 1977, is Debbie’s sister-in-law. Tammy is a dental hygienist.

John Prunty III is a 1980 North Marion grad (Monongah’s final graduation class was in 1979).

Since my 84^th birthday is coming up November 5 I know how much greater achievement it is to reach the 85^th.
