Garbage fee hike won’t affect Monongah
Republic Waste Management’s proposed 44% rate increase to the
Public Service Commission would
hit most people in Marion County, but not Monongah or Fairmont residents.

Monongah has Waste Management services. We will not have
any rate increase because the contract was just renewed with them.”
Affected Marion Countians could see an increase of either $76 or
$87 per year. That’s about $7.25 a month. They pay almost $200 a year now.
