U.S. 19 in Shinnston reduced to 1 lane indefinitely

Route 19 in Shinnston, between the post office and Walt’s Service Station has been reduced to one lane, starting Aug. 5.

The closure will run indefinitely and a temporary traffic light has been installed.

Crews are doing roadway tie-in work involving the new bridge, which is scheduled to open in September.
