CATCHING UP WITH

Kathryn Toothman Crim

Kathryn Toothman Crim, Class of 1950, has moved into a senior citizens assisted living complex in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

For decades she was living on 40 acres in Farwell, Michigan.

Kathryn, widow of Reid Crim, former Monongah High football player, has 5 children (3 girls, 2 boys), 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She still sees her companion for many years, Dick Blevins. They had adjoining 40-acre properties and went ATV riding regularly in the early days of their relationship.

Kathryn’s siblings were Paul Albert Toothman, Class of 1948, who passed away in Mantua, Ohio and was born in Rivesville; Blanch Toothman, who passed away in Tennessee; and Melba Toothman Lowe, who lives in Minden, Louisiana. Their parents were Albert and Nila Toothman.

Louise Crim, mother of Martha and Reid Crim, once worked at the Hertzog Drug Store in Worthington.

Kathryn and I shared several Monongah High Alumni Reunions, including as recently as 2018.
