Colleen Delvera Morgan Salai, Class
of 1948, passed away Wednesday, June 12.
She
was the widow of Frank Salai. Their children are another Frank Salai, Class of
1973; Garnett Mickey Salai Satterfield, Class of
1967; Debra Salai Rush, Class of 1975; and 1982
North Marion graduate Bryan
Salai.

There's also a Jim Salai, Class of 1966, among Salai MHS
graduates.
Donald Kerns, who attended Monongah High before
graduating from North Marion in 1982, remembers “spending many times in the
Salai home. She was a very nice lady.”

Colleen Delvera Salai
January 27, 1930 - June 12, 2019
Colleen Delvera Salai, 89, passed away on Wednesday,
June 12, 2019. She was born January 27, 1930, daughter of the late Dale Earnest
Morgan and Georgia Harter Morgan.
Colleen was a loving mother, sister, and
grandmother. She graduated from Monongah High School in 1948. She was employed
by Sears at the Middletown Mall, Mosebach Electric, and Middletown Mall House
of Cards.
Colleen is survived by her children, Mickey
(Michael) Satterfield, Frank (Sherry) Salai, Debbie (Jack) Rush, and Bryan
(Catherine) Salai; grandchildren, Cami (Jody) Handlan, John McDougal, Clay
Satterfield, Andrew Rush, Rebecca (Benjamin) Ratliff, Alexander Salai and
fiancée Amy Zembroksi, and Victoria Salai; great grandchildren, Tristan,
Brendan, Joslyn, Haleigh, Nicholas, and Eliana; great great grandchildren,
David, Oliver, Tyler, Desmond and Lennox; a sister-in-law, Carol Hosmer
Morgan; a brother-in-law, Ralph Eugene Fouse; and many loved nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in
death by her husband of 35 years, Frank Salai; her brother, Michael “Bud”
Morgan; her sisters, Barbara Dale Morgan Kochka and Carolyn Sue Fouse; and her
granddaughter, Megan Satterfield.
Colleen chose cremation for her final disposition.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The arrangements are
under the care of Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont. Online condolences may be
