Monongah Mayor Greg
Vandetta, Class of 1975, and First Lady Debbie Manzo Vandetta, Class of 1973, celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on Monday, October
16.
Debbie is Monongahfest president. Greg is the owner of Vandetta
Construction. They live in Monongah.
They have three children – Jessica, Bethany Vandetta VanGilder and Greg II, married to Janelle – and six grandchildren.
After graduating
from Monongah High, Greg began working at the Fairmont Kitchen Center. In 1987, he started Vandetta Construction.
I’ve run into Greg and Debbie at West Virginia University home football
games.
They were there with Debbie’s
cousin, Ron Manzo, Class of 1969, a retired coal miner, and his wife, Fairview
High grad Janice Manzo. Ron is a nephew of Ernie “Frog”, Joe, John “Duke”
Manzo, Class of 1945; and Raymond “Pigeon” Manzo, Class of 1947.
