Who should be honored at
Monongahfest?
“If you know of anybody that you would like to be recognized
this year at the Monongahfest, please send Patty McCombs, Debbie Manzo Vandetta,
Diane Huffman Prunty
or Dietta Goush a pm on
fb. (I believe that's code for Personal Message on Facebook.) Please let us know why you think that person stands out from others and
what they do or have done for our community. There are a lot of people in
this town that do more than we are aware of!!”
Debbie, Class of 1973, is Monongahfest president. Patty is
treasurer. Diane is secretary. Patty and Diane are the handling the Town-Wide
Yard Sale Aug. 15.
Dietta, Class of 1959, married to Paul Goush, Class of 1954, also is
involved with the Monongahfest Car Show Aug. 17. All of the car show proceeds
will go to the Brogan Raddish Scholarship Fund. Brogan is Dietta’s late
granddaughter, a teenager who lost her life to cancer.
Ms. West Virginia United States Kristin Wilson of Mannington
will lead the Monongahfest parade Aug. 16.
The Jenna Won’t Sing band -- Greg Patrick, Jim Pulice, son
Eric Pulice and Ron Yanero – will perform at the Monongahfest.
Fireworks will follow the Jenna music.
Patty also clarified the Tug of War Contest Aug. 16: "Each Tug of War team will consist of FIVE people ... it can be girls, guys, kids or anyone!!! We are calling it "FLOP in the SLOP" Catchy name, Patty. |
